6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Why can’t I open a RAR file?
AeroZip supports opening RAR files, but it cannot create them. If you are having trouble opening a RAR file, make sure the file is not corrupted or incomplete. Try re-downloading the archive if necessary.
Q2: Why does my extracted file have errors or appear corrupted?
This usually means the original archive is damaged or only partially downloaded. Check the file size and source. If available, try verifying the archive with a checksum or request a fresh copy.
Q3: How can I open password-protected archives?
When you attempt to open a password-protected archive, AeroZip will prompt you to enter the password. Without the correct password, the contents cannot be accessed.
Q4: Why do I see strange or unreadable file names after extracting?
This can happen if the archive was created with a different character encoding. AeroZip will still extract the files, but some names may appear differently depending on your system’s language settings.
Q5: Can I create archives in RAR format with AeroZip?
No. AeroZip supports creating archives in formats such as ZIP, 7Z, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, and WIM. RAR archives can be opened and extracted but not created.
